and still the eclipse rages on. the Haitian guy has no powers. this is nonsense. he had powers before the eclipse in season 1. did his powers go away during that eclipse? i doubt it. i think he’d have noticed. as would everyone else who had powers before the eclipse.
Claire, at the hospital is possibly dying because not only has she been shot, but she has no antibodies to fight infection.
meanwhile, Sylar and Elle are all romantic together. ugh. mushy stuff.
Elle sees the the laser dot on sylar, and gets him out of the way before Bennett shoots. they run. Bennett pursues.
he’s out for revenge for what happened to Claire way back when Sylar took her power.
ha. the petrellis are locked in in some kind of Haitian dungeon. nathan is speaking french and making friends with the natives, also in captivity.
mohindir is still in the lab researching eclipses. i hope he’s going to find out why this eclipse is lasting for hours. mr. petrelli wants answers as to why their powers are gone. i guess we’re supposed to believe whole eclipse thing really is a phenomenon and it’s special because everyone has lost their powers.
mrs bennet calls mr bennett to find out where the hell he is while claire’s dying in the hospital.
looks like mr bennett is once again on the trail of Elle and sylar, so he’s not going to the hospital for claire.
Daphne is cerebral palsy and only became super fast after the last eclipse. without her powers, she’s on crutches.
Daphne thinks she deserves to be this way after being a villain.
oh, it looks like finally the eclipse is starting to end.
now mohinder is fighting with one of the bad guys.
i bet when the eclipse ends, everyone gets their powers back.
Hiro and Ando are back in the comic store where the guy at the counter thinks it’s a joke because everything they say is printed in the comic. which begs the question i’ve asked before - who writes the comic now that Isaac’s dead?
Hiro slaps down his credit card to buy all the back issues of 9th Wonder to do some research to find out what’s been going on.
my god, this is so silly. Hiro is still my favorite character, tho.
i got distracted by a movie trailer ( i love movie trailers) for a movie called the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. it looks good. it probably won’t live up to the trailer, tho. they rarely do.
anyhow. now Sylar and Elle are in a store trying to bandage up Elle.
back in Haiti, brother v brother. the invincible one is no longer invincible.
now back in Kansas, they’re at the comic book store, and the comic book guys figure out what no one else can, that when the eclipse ends, they’ll get their powers back.
and now nathan is confessing to some chick in prison that he hasn’t been the good guy he should have been.
now the peter petrelli is going to stay behind to fight off the evil Haitian army while the Haitian and Nathan escape. yeh, because we all know that Peter has extensive military training and can use that giant gun they left him with. not that it’s gonna be difficult to shoot a gun, but my god, the man’s a trained nurse. please.
claire is fighting infection in the hospital.
the police want to talk to mrs bennett, now. probably something about a ridiculous sick claire with a gun shot wound.
alarms are going off. looks like claire’s dying.
bennett has tracked elle and sylar to the store. sylar thrown elle into an elevator and waits to confront bennett.
fighting ensues.
claire dying.
fighting.
dying claire.
bennett finds a box knife. bennett finds a box cutter and slits sylar’s throat. sylar is dead. so we think.
after the commercial, i’m sure the stupid eclipse will end and claire and sylar will be fine as if nothing happened.
in the hospital, mrs bennett is standing over a dead claire. she pulls back the sheet, we see the eclipse ending …
claire heals and wakes up.
like nothing happened.
i called it. totally.
Parkman is trying to find Daphne who split as soon as she got her powers back.
Parkman can hear daphne, so he’s tracking her thoughts. now they’re having a touching moment. Daphne makes up with her dad. now all is well.
Peter is fighting off the Haitian bad guys. how much you wanna bet peter has his power back?
doesn’t matter, nathan came back.
the hatian brothers are fighting. good guy killed bad guy.
Mohinder went to see Maya because he thought his powers were gone, but they came back and he saw his scaly hands and split.
now Hiro has locked himself in the comic store bathroom because he doesn’t want to grow up. the comic book guy tries to talk him out by telling him what a good hero he is. it works. comic guy #2 figures out what Hiro needs to do to get his powers back - find Claire and take her to a certain place and time. so off Hiro goes. comic guys is happy x 10 because he saw Hiro disappear.
mr Bennett is back talking to Claire. claire is pissed because he wasn’t there for her. she blurts out that she died and he wasn’t there for her. he realizes that if Claire died and came back,Sylar probably did too. downstairs he runs, and there’s mrs bennett being held by Elle and a blood soaked sylar leading the way.
they’re here for claire. bennett tells him he’s not the son of the petrellis after all. elle says that bennett is lying. bennett points out that elle knows who sylar is and she’s lying, not to mention that sylar killed elle’s father, so that’ll put a kink in their relationship.
sylar starts to remotely slice bennett’s throat, when who should show up but Hiro. he takes away Sylar, then Elle, (now everyone’s safe) then Claire.
Hiro rules.
back at the comic book store Parkman shows up with Daphne looking for Hiro, he’s gone. blah blah blah. ok, so let’s check a comic to see where they’ve gone. comic book guy says that’s a no go. Issac Mendez is dead and that was the last posthumous issue. yeh. so that’s their gimmick. i’m pretty damn sure that the issue he was working on when he died was played out in season 1. whatever. so at least they’re trying to explain away the comic thing.
oh shit. that’s the last issue, but not the last story. now comic book guy has a legend he heard at a convention about the last story. issac mendez bequeathed his sketchbook to a bike messenger, find him and find the last story.
who did he give his sketch book to? i can’t remember. was it in the series.
now the petrelli brothers are having a touching conversation. nathan wants everyone to have powers, peter doesn’t want to spread the power around. now nathan is abandoning peter to find his own way home.
mohinder went back to the office after his abandoned visit to Maya. and he has a touching moment with mr petrelli.
sylar and elle are together on a beach. their trust in one another has been a little shaken by the episode with bennett. looks like sylar is going all evil again. is he gonna kill elle? nice. he’s cutting into her skull. bye bye elle.
now Hiro and Claire are on the rooftop back in time when Hiro’s father gave Claire to Bennett to raise.
and the damned DVR cut off the end again. i gotta fix that. now i gotta go to hulu just to see the last damned 30 seconds. ooo. Gattaca is on Hulu. one of my favorite movies of all time.
eh. i didn’t miss anything. just Claire being shocked at seeing the past. next week they’ll probably pick up there and we’ll see what’s important.
eh, an okay episode. i like Hiro’s story. Sylar’s is pretty good too. don’t really care about the Petrelli brothers or Mohinder. Parkman perpetually bores me. Which reminds me, whatever happened to Molly? I don’t remember where she went.
